The reaction from the Ring- and Parkrockers to the 2012 programme, with Metallica, the Toten Hosen and Linkin Park headlining, could not have been more euphoric. Five months ahead of the start of Germany’s most popular open air festivals, which take place from June 1st to 3rd – 100,000 tickets have already been sold. Before the next pricing level takes effect on January 16th, the tickets for Rock am Ring are getting scarce, whilst at the same time the demand for Rock im Park is considerably higher than in previous years.
On the first weekend in June both venues – at the Nurburgring and in Nuremberg - will be home to more than 85 bands performing across 3 stages. In addition to more than two dozen confirmed acts – additional attractive artists will be announced shortly.
From January 16th the ticket price for Rock am Ring will rise to 175 Euros and for Rock im Park to 160 Euros inclusive of box office fee, camping and parking as well as a refundable anti-littering deposit of 5 Euros. The new pricing level will be valid until the March 15th.
