Arch Enemy

Arch Enemy were formed in Halmstad, Sweden, in the mid-1990s around guitarist Michael Amott, who had previously played with Carcass and Carnage. From their earliest albums onwards, the band focused on melodic death metal, pairing precise guitar work and memorable melodies with the genre’s intensity. A major turning point came with the arrival of Angela Gossow, who fronted the band from 2001 and helped bring Arch Enemy to a wider audience. Alissa White-Gluz later took over on vocals and continued along the same path. „Blood Dynasty“ was released in 2025 as their most recent studio album, before Lauren Hart joined Arch Enemy as their new vocalist in 2026.
