Highly Suspect
Highly Suspect’s story began with cover sets in the bars of Cape Cod. After relocating to Brooklyn, the Massachusetts band developed a musical language of their own: gritty alternative rock with deep blues roots, distinctive grooves and an openness to electronic sounds and hip-hop. Vocals move from quiet vulnerability to powerful outbursts, lending weight to their personal lyrics. “Mister Asylum” brought Highly Suspect their international breakthrough in 2015, with the debut and its follow-up, “The Boy Who Died Wolf”, earning them three Grammy nominations in total. Since then, they have repeatedly reshaped their sound while retaining the rough-edged directness that has distinguished their music from the start.
