The Amity Affliction

Hailing from Gympie, Queensland, Australia, The Amity Affliction have established themselves as a major force in melodic metalcore. Heavy breakdowns and frontman Joel Birch’s raw screams meet catchy choruses and clean vocals. This contrast has defined the band’s sound since the early 2000s.Their music also explores deeply personal themes, with Birch drawing on his own experiences of loss, addiction and mental health struggles. Through this openness, The Amity Affliction have built a strong connection with their fans, combining musical intensity with emotional vulnerability.
